Gala Highlights Concert on June 5, 2010

On June 5, 2010, we will present a Gala Highlights Concert featuring OPO regulars along with some very special guests, performing some of your favorite arias and ensembles from opera and operetta. Despite the recent economic crisis, Ottawa Pocket Opera is still alive, and more committed than ever to continuing to promote affordable opera performances of the highest calibre to the National Capital Region. The goal of our Gala Concert is to raise revenues that will benefit OPO and allow us to continue to serve our audience. Come join us for an evening of beautiful music!

Owing to the current global financial situation, we have taken extra care in planning our 2009-2010 season so we can be fiscally responsible and certain of being able to be part of the Ottawa music scene well into the future. We have chosen to suspend full-scale productions for this season in favor of presenting a Gala Benefit Concert to assist in funding our continuing operation, and at the same time are working to increase funding support from sponsors and through grant programs.
